Default New to me 125

Just got this 125 about an hour from me. Cleaned up ok. Needs the usual hood hinge repair. Was hoping the seat was going to be better. It will look good next to the 105. Will see if she will start tomorrow after changing oil and the usual prep. Oh yeah, was full of gas but smelled like turpentine
Some pics so it happens...

Terry that's real nice, congrats. That can't be original yellow can it? Looks like a repaint but they did a good job if they did

Arguably, the finest cub that IH made. That appears to be in really good shape, so hopefully it won't too much to get it back in action! Nice find and haul to add to your collection. Let us know when she breaths new life.

Thanks everybody. No it's not original paint. I'm starting to run out of room.
People are starting to ask me why I have so many. These people are ignorant
and I removed them from my contact list
I don't really see their point.
Plus I'm just getting started. Haven't even started on the red ones yet!

Congrats on the 125 Terry! I really like that series.

I miss mine. It was one of my favorites. But... my brother enjoys it now, so it's all good.

Nice find Terry! Was that the one up on Sioux City CL? There was one on there a few weeks ago that I emailed about. Looked just like yours. Glad you picked up another.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
