Default Advice on Cub Cadet 7284 with loader

I am thinking seriously about purchasing a 7284 with 243 hours. It appears to be very clean and only used for mowing a field. It has a front loader but no belly/mid-mount mower. I located a mid mount/belly deck which I need for my lawn. I have not been able to find much information online regarding this model other than the stats. I have not found any reviews. My main use will be mowing the lawn and moving mulch with the loader. The problem I am running into is the parts to mount the deck are totaling over $900 and the deck has 4 of the main mounting links. Two of the frame plates are discontinued. I could fabricate the frame plates but the other parts are so expensive. The deck I found is NOS and only $500. Doses anyone know of a good source for 5000-7000 series mowing deck parts? Is this a good machine for around 6K?

All I can tell you is that the engine is a Perkins AKA Cat. If you buy it rather than get killed buying a belly mower stick a rear 3 point hitch finish mower on it.

I learned the deck mounts are no longer available. I guess I will pass on the tractor. A finish mower will not work for my conditions. I also read the transmission was not reliable on this model.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
