149 s/g trouble
Hi guys, I have a ammeter on a 149 constantly reading discharge, as well as a horrible mechanical growl/ grinding noise. Is this a bad s/g and s/g bearing? I would just like some pointers before I drop some heavy change just guessing.

As far as I know it is. And it isn't constant. It will stop for a second or two and then start again.

My best advice is...........Take the S/G to a reputable repair shop and have it tested and rebuilt if necessary.

I check all wiring to make sure you don't have a short and check your grounds if ones Is loose it can do it
