I still do not understand it's concept DW tried splaining it 2 times I liked the tandem /push drafting but was eliminated for being to dangerous ,this thing looks very scary ( other cars blocking on purpose) |

As explained to me by the guy that used to run New Hampshire "Nascar is not about racing, it's all about the show" "We need to put on a good show to relieve people of as many entertainment dollars as possible and have them come back year after year". If they wanted it to be true racing they would have just had a heat race to set the field for the 500. Nope drag it out for as long as they can to keep people in the seats. It's all about the $$$$ and I'm an ex racer. Oh well at least it's warmer in Daytona than most of the country. Brian France is laughing all the way to the bank.
![]() And yes I watched it. ![]() I'll watch the duels and the 500 but I'll do it from my recliner. ![]() Not much else to do at this time of year.

I just finished watching (dvr'd it). It's interesting, I wouldn't call it exciting. They say go and everyone sits there for 2-3 min. Then you have the duels....redundant. Only need one, qualifying laps or heat races (duels). Money talks and this makes them a lot of money, don't thnk it will change anytime soon. Gives me something to do while it 10 degrees and windy out.

it somewhat lets the smaller teams / rookie's have a better chance to race
15 may not make the race now after wrecking 2 rides Every one wants to be in the middle or last pack to get the best time from drafting and helping out their make. Cool 24 got the pole for his last year .or last full year? |

I'm not a big fan of Michael Waltrip but I think this makes sense. I still don't care for provisional's, to me the 43 fastest should be in and the rest should go home.

I like how it's a big mad rush to sit around and wait. You don't want to be the person leading because you're slower and don't get as fast a lap time. If you are drafting up to someone, you go faster and get a faster lap time.
Total BS IMO. I guess it works on other tracks but it was not appealing to me at a restrictor plate track. I can't believe I'm actually agreeing with Kurt Busch- unload, run them through tech inspection, then do a lap or two.

I'm not sure I like the new way to qualify at Daytona either.
I've been a Nascar fan for many years and I did like how they did the chase last year. I don't think they are making the money like they did in the past because now days you can walk up on race day and buy your tickets. I'm not sure Bristol even sells out anymore and if you noticed the last few years they don't show the stands anymore during the race because they are empty. We record every race and fast forward through most of them. I have not been to a race in years but I will say I had a blast when we would camp out for 2 or 3 days making a nice pile of aluminum cans for the boyscouts.

First off, I hope I don't offend anyone . I like most motorsports. I especially like motorcycle road racing. Drag racing, kart racing, boat racing, auto road racing, motocross, like it all. I even like Nascar , just wish they would throw in a few more right turns. I usually watch for the wrecks and pileups , ( as I'm sure a lot of us do ) as long as no one gets hurt.
Now for the punchline. I was told Nascar is an acronym for " Non Athletic Sport Centered Around Rednecks " . Don't know for sure if it pertains to the fans or drivers , but I have a hunch. Chris

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
