Default Fuel problems

okay guys, I have a issue with my 122 that has me stumped. I fixed the leak by adding making a new sleeve but when I tighten done the nuts it seems to stop the flow of fuel in the sediment bowl. I got it to start for a minute or too but then nothing. I have no idea other than something in the carb. Any ideas?

Did you have the problem before putting the piece of fuel line in? Are you getting fuel to the carb at the carb? If so, you probably have a sticking needle and if so, probably need to remove the carb and give it a good cleaning.

check to make sure the gas cap is good,over time the vents get plugged from the gasket. take the cap off and loosen the sediment bowl and see if it fills up,if so try running it with the cap off

I assume you mean the rubber sleeve at each end of the metal gas line ,make sure the metal line goes through the sleeve or the rubber could squeeze shut and stop gas flow [if you took the line off without loosening the tank you could have sprung the line when removing it which would tend to shorten one or both ends and the line would not stick through the rubber sleeve] also check for pieces of rubber blocking the hole in the fuel inlet and [needle seat]

Once you have the nuts started push the line in as far as it will go and then tighten it, also make sure you open the fuel shutoff the whole way.

thanks guys i tried it without the gas cap didn't change anything if i loosen the sediment bowl up it flows out will check the rubber sleeves and see if anything is blocking them thinking a sticky float needle

Or the carb vent is plugged. My bet is the needle valve.
