She said to me;
MS: If someone told her ten years ago, that you would be into tractors the way you are now.. I would have not have believed them.. ME: I think all that it is, is that I don't need counter parts as if I was in a band, I don't need a drivers license to drive them, I am not out at a bar, doing stupid stuff.. One thing is, I didn't grow up on a tractor. But I did grow up with legos, and erector sets.. I loved every min. of it.. I found a 125 or sim tractor on CL.. it is in pcs across a table.. Talking about reliving my childhood.. To me it looks like a brand new pack of legos sprawled about the floor. Just asking to be put together.. MS: All the time and money you are putting into these tractors.. You could have just bought a new one.. ME: But what is the fun in that? MS: Oh, I don't know..? The thought of not having to fix it?!?!?? ME: That is so much of what makes this "hobby" fun.. Any one can buy a new tractor. Not everyone enjoys putting one together.. Or getting their hands dirty.. Honey.. As long as you have known me,, I get dirty.. MS: I still don't get it... ME: And I, still don't get the need for a new pair of shoes every week!! MS: But I ware them! ME: No you don't! I use my tractor more than you ware your new shoes! MS: My shoes are not the same as your tractors!! ME: I know, my tractors get more millage than your shoes!! MS: You are one strange little man! ME: Yes, Yes I am!! ME: I win!! ![]()

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
