Default Heres My 15 Dollar Save

I posted awhile back about this but finally got to go get her today..Shes a 129 that needs a lota love.It was all there except the headlights and the hood.Po says he will look for them.As you can see my 149 was there to drag her off my tilt trailor. I worked on her about a hour pulling the deck and mule drive off. The engine was seized but I finally got it broke loose as well as the hydro linkage.I think it seemed to have good compression.Cant get her to turn over with the key but finally did after jumping straight to the starter.Couldnt get any fire past the solenoid.Got the wiring diagram out as we speak...Needs tires all the way around only one holds air..Deck and mule drive are good with the exception of the nose on the deck needs straightening out. Still not bad for 15 bucks I thought....Well what ya think..Thanks Randy...

I bought a 149 for $40 a couple of weeks ago, but it's in bad shape.

The jury is still out on this one...I bought it for the mule drive and the deck but if can get her going I'll put her to mowing and 149 plowing and tilling.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
