We built a mini version of that, and blew the bugs into a river.

The fish came in like crazy, the fishing was GREAT!!

We ran it at night, with a lightbulb near the blower entrance.

The bugs flew into the blower, the bugs were thrown into the water, the fish could not resist!!

That sure is a whole lotta contraption to suck up some bugs and blow them out the side. I hope it chewed up the buggers too.

So you guys where actually sucking the bugs up out of the grass? Did you have some kind of hose on the other end to direct to the water as you drove around? Just thinking is another way to grab some seat time on the tractor
