Default Is this a 125?

Came across this on Craigslist tonight. Looks like a 125 to me? Has a k301a in it.

Looks like a morphodite. The base of the tractor is of the 1x5 series and looks like some one transplanted the hood, grill and dash.

The engine is a properly spec'd for the IH K-301.

The 125's were made from 11/67 to 08/69.

Definite narrow frame....maybe engine transplant?? Along with hood and dash? Might be worth a $100 for parts at the very least

Why they welded the head is beyond me. A used head can be found pretty cheap.

that looks like the correct grille and dash but the hood appears to be off a 70 or 100 ?

Looks like a 125 to me...It looks like someone may have just painted the hood and it has no decals...

It's still on CL. I hate it when people never delete their ads. Don't they get tired of telling people "I already sold it"???

Guess there's only a few of us calling about cubs
I usually see 'em too late, they never reply back to me, too far away, OR they want WAY too much for them

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
