Please expand on the 984 nomenclature. What options make the 982 a 984?

I bought a 1864, it's just grown from there. The Cubs have replaced old Chevys as my hobby/passion. The only car I have left is a '67 Chevelle wagon.
Seems like a good trade off. I can put five Cubs where one car sat and there are no titles or license to fool with!

Tim, it's the options. Later on in the series, CCC changed the number of a fully optioned 982 to a 984. Just like a 782 fully optioned was a 784. But to my knowledge, they never produced a red 984. Just a yellow one.

The 984 didn't have front remotes. The 986 did though.

In my defense, my brother borrowed my "cub bible" and hasn't returned it. I have another PDF file, but was too lazy to look it up in that huge file.
