Have you had to switch mower brand temporarily?
Has anyone experienced similar scenarios.
Recently while mowing with GT2186 the pro belt broke and had to finish 2ac with a GT Craftsman. WOW!! What a difference. I didn't realize what a chore it was to mow with compared to the cub. The craftsman is fine for pulling a wagon around, but mowing is the pits. It's not a bad tractor with a 22hp Kolher Pro & loaded rear tires. BUT, the deck is flimsy, 8 speeds that is either too slow or too fast, aprox. Hard to turn 38" turn radius,& tippy with the 46" deck. The Cub is fast fwd & rev., 18" easy turn radius, HD stable 54" deck with better traction stock. I actually like it a little better than my 3205 with pwr steer, hdy 60" deck that I have at another location for mowing.

Cub Cadets are great machines, I have even mowed with them, but, for me, the Cub Cadet is a "chore tractor"
    When I mow, I want to MOW, so I had to buy a 72" cut GT,,,,  Now, THATS a mower deck!!   If it dies, I will mow with the 2284 and a 60" deck, not many 72" GT's around,,,

I believe that. I've only seen the 72" on a 7000 series before, but I'm kind of a newb. I would have a hard time maneuvering a 72" in most of the areas i'm mowing.

Last weekend I was mowing with the 1872 with a 60" deck and was about out of gas so I jumped on my wife's Craftsman (36" deck). WHAT A POS! She wanted it because it was small and my tractors were too big. Needless to say, next time I'll drive to the gas station instead.

I like to keep em running and work them. 1872 (I call her Vera), 782D, 154 Loboy (w/tiller, 3260 deck, and front blade), 3-1650s, 2-1000s, 149, 147, 106, 1810, Farmall Cub, Haban sickle bar (not mounted), No. 2 trailer and several parts tractors.

I mow with different brands all the time. I use my cubs, a few Deere's and a few fords. I mainly use my walk behind mower though. Cubs don't get much use except when someone needs to borrow a mower for a few days

When visiting the daughter and sil I have used his mtd box store el cheapo. Talk about a tiring event. That thing had more rattles than a baby toy shelf.

Jacobson GT 10 with mower. DR Lawn vac tow behind,Home made lawn roller. Brinly cart, 2 off brand carts and 1 home made cart.
