Hey guys been a little bit since I've been on here, I picked up a 76 cub cadet 1250 from a guy the next town over from me. His wife's father bought it new back then and he said it was apart for 15 years in a garage for some reason. So anyway I went and looked at it and picked it up for 650 . I got a qa36a snowblower , wheel weights and a 44 inch mower deck. It runs great but needs some help, so begins the tear down process and clean up.

It looks like it was pretty solid to begin with. I gotta say I fell in love with the 1250 right after I bought the 102 from the same owner. I kept looking at it saying no I dont need it, but after driving one... well thatw as the end of that/
Looks like you are going to do a great job restoring her! I swear these tractors are addicting. Unfortunately they go for a mint here in the nw

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
