Default Planning a face lift for my 982
I'm getting ready to sandblast and paint the sheet metal on my 982. Has anybody used decals from Maple Hunter? I looked at theirs and they seem reasonably priced. I was just wondering if they're pretty good decals. I might do the frame sometime, but for right now I'm going to clean it up and leave it like it is. My wallet has already thinned a bit.

I would not sand blast the light sheet metal. Sand blasting warpes the metal.
Use a wire wheel on a grinder.

sandblasting the sheet metal is fine as long as you keep the nozzle back and keep it moving, wire wheels create all sorts of heat.

I've used Maple Hunter before on my super and received a set for my 71 today. I'm happy with them.

I don't use my Cub. I just work on it and look at it. So far it's holding up very well.
