Default Thinking of adding power steering to my 982

First off I'd like to say this forum has been a great help to me for quite some time now, but this is my first post.

My steering is shot and I thought about replacing all the tie rod ends and putting a bushing in the steering lever to tighten things up but my wife is the one who actually mows with it so I thought it would be nice to have the power steering, and I'd like it in the winter when I snow blow with it.
There is a guy parting out a 2082 and he has the power steering stuff for sale, the box and the lines, mounts and such. Can anybody tell me if it will work on my 982......without modifying anything too much?? I really don't want to wreck this tractor. How many parts off the 2082 do I need to get it hooked up in my 982?
I've tried searching but since 982 is too short I can't find any specific threads.
It looks like I'd need the spindle for sure, but I'm worried about the column. From pictures it looks like the 2082s had tilt steering and the box is really long, do I need to use the 2082 steering column??

Is there a different tractors power steering that would work better on my 982?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Yes, it is that same tractor. I also asked him for the steering lever and tie rods since mine are not the same, and mine is shot...crap........now I know why he didn't mention them. I really do not want to cut up my column..........I want to keep everything as is in case I want to go back to original.
That's a bummer that he doesn't have it anymore..........who knows what else I might need to get it mounted. I'm not sure if the steering box will bolt up to my steering box mount.
I might need to contact you, I really don't know what else I need at this point. He said 350 shipped for everything. It sounds like an OK price I guess...........but what do I know.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
