Default Cubs finally made it home

I finally had time and help to get my cub cadet 104 and newly acquired 122 from my parents house to my house. It is tough when I currently do not have a truck and have to ask a favor to take the 2.5 hour trip to my house. It had to be done since my 72 started knocking slightly and I do not want to run it until it is rebuilt. Now the 104 will be handling my mowing duty and I have to say I am glad to have the moderately fresh K241 over that old tired K161. Here are a few pictures of my cub collection and the intimidating looks that they give the box store mowers of the neighborhood.

Now how can you tell what a man's stature is by the cub cadets he has? I am a medium frame guy but have both NF and WF cubs....

Great line-up of cubs you have there! Kind of nice when the gangs all there for a reunion.

If you look real close you can see smiles on everyone of those Cubs, It's like one big happy family. Had a guy tell me a couple days ago, "those old tractors are 40 years old and nobody uses them anymore". Some people just don't get it. Glad you got it home and it's still in the family.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
