first of all thanks Johncub7172 for caring for this beast for the past 8 years.
i traded my 1450 for this 71, before i took it out to ohio i tried to sort out all the issues the best i could, good running machine! just i'm a narrow frame addict. last saturday i made the trip, 5 hours out, 5 hours home, approx 620 miles round trip, i made it no problem. last sunday night i started to develop cellulitis, by monday afternoon i was at the hospital getting pain meds and an iv antibiotic......wanna know something? it was worth it!! no more long road trips for me for a while unfortunately, well at least not in my dakota.......hmm, hitch and a trailer for my town car, the seats are like sofas! it was nice out today so i took some pics. Nice 71. Sounds like a long trip in that mini pick up. I had an s10 that I drove 250 miles one way for college, I feel for you. Anyway, nice trade.
Question, were the 16x6.50's fronts an option on the 71's or did they just come with the skinnys?

john added the 6.50 fronts on this one, but i do believe it was an option, my 100 had 6.5's on it but my 127 came with 4.80x8. going to use my other set of 6.5 wheels on my other 71 after i get the wheels blasted and get new tires and tubes.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
