$47 pto switch?
Got the electric pto on my 1211 but the switch won't stay in the run position. Looked it up on the cub site and it's $46.63! That thing made of gold?

Was looking at tsc website. Would one of their toggle switchs work? How many amps is the oem one? They have several diff ones. Thanks!

Brian,
The 1211 uses a "hold on" relay. The switch activates the relay and as long as all safety features are a "GO" the PTO is on. With a toggle switch, the relay would have to be bypassed and the safety switches wouldn't work. It would be as cubby102 says, "a little bit of wiring". The switches last a really long time and are worth replacing correctly. Here's a replacement (part number sub) for about half....... Ebay

The 725-0893 is a OEM Switch and Cub Cadet knows this and charges what they do. Even though these switch is made by Indak, you would be hard pressed to find a suitable aftermarket replacement. The best you can do, is find it for the least cost.

Jonathan, could it be that the switch wouldn't stay in the run position because I was not sitting in the seat at the time? I was standing beside the tractor watching to be sure the pto was engaging. Maybe then nothing is wrong with the switch? thanks!

Thanks Sam,will give that a try. Been busy this morning maybe tomorrow night before I get to it. I kinda figured that might be the problem. I looked at it heck there's 6 wires going into that switch!

Tried the switch again I put a suitcase weight on the seat and the switch stays on.
So appears nothing wrong with it. Haven't had much time to work on the 1211 lately Since starting a part time job.
