I need to have the seat on my 122 recovered.
I have tried a few places local to me and none of them can come close to matching the color of vinyl. Has anyone tried the Speer cushion co. www.speercushion.com/ Just wondering how it worked out if anyone sent them a seat to have repaired and if it was worth the cost. Thanks |

Let me try this
Has anyone had their 122 seat recovered? If so what company did you use? Or did you buy the vinyl some where and do it yourself? |

I had this one done locally by a "one man band" upholstery shop. He quoted me $75.00 and I said go ahead. When I picked it up he said he worked his a$$ off on it and wouldn't do it again for that price.

I see them redone for about $150-$180 from some man up in Michigan. I don't know if he buys them like that and resells them or does them himself, but they are close to stock. His has a single seam running across the lower back portion, instead of the form fitted factory ones.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
