Default 982 steering box upgrade?
With the engine out you can see all sorts of stuff that seem to scream HELP ME! I checked on the steering box this afternoon, looks like I need to take it apart and rework/replace the cam follower. It appears the 982 uses a larger steering gearbox than the majority of other Cadets. Has anyone figured out a bearing upgrade for it? I would think it can be done, would just be nice if someone already had the part numbers.

Unless it steers horrible I'll most likely stay with the stock steering.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
