Followed up on a lead today and couldn't believe my eyes when I see sitting outside at this guy's house a 147 with a Vermeer Trencher on it!! Talked to him for awhile and he didn't want to sell it but he did give me the "I don't want to sell it price"!!
Needless to say, I came home empty handed!! Not everyday I see one of them in person!

No pics!?!?
![]() No, that isn't a set up you see everyday. Matter of fact, it's so rare, your lucky to see one in a lifetime, let alone own one! Well, you can always give him your number and hope maybe you outlive him! LOL! Is that what you went there too look at? Or were you out looking for another cub?

I will definitely be going back and checking in with him every so often and will get pics! The guy told me he was more of a buyer then a seller! Sounds like someone else I know!
![]() He did tell me when he died there would be one heck of a sale there! hehe Yeah, that's what I went there to look at Jonathan. Someone told he that they thought he had one but wasn't sure. |

Mike,
Since he's more of a buyer than seller, do you think he might be a trader? Shoot, I'd pull some duplicates out of your honey hole and do a trade for that trencher. I'd love to have any trencher, but a Vermeer is a Caddilac when it comes to Cub trenchers. ![]() For anyone who's never seen one, search it one Youtube. There are some vids.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
