Default 3-Point crane with winch.

I decided to put together a crane for the back of my 1572 this weekend. I have been wanting to build this for a while, and I think it will prove itself to be very useful. I will probably pull it apart some time and paint it. The best part is I can still pull the upright and boom off and use it with the original legs and a roll around engine crane. The winch is a 2000 lb. ATV winch and it can be run with the snatch block to bring the weight close to the tractor.

The transfer case in a few of the pics is a cast iron np205 with cross member (so it is pretty heavy) and it picked it up no problem and was very stable. I am looking forward to see what it can do.

Is that a divorced unit from an old Ford?

Cool crane! I built the same thing years ago for a small tractor. Didn't put the winch on it, but it was REALLY handy! Good job!

Thanks for the compliments, I think there will be many uses for it. I excited to use it. It will be very helpful for moving parts around when I start my cub restoration project that I am picking up this weekend. It's RED!!!!

We have a new project! Just happen to have a winch and engine hoist. Not sure I'll set it up for a 3 point mount but I like the winch idea rather than the hand pump jack. Great job!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
