Default 123 suction line
I have a question about the suction line on a 123
can it be changed to the like way a 129 uses?

from looking at partstree.com the suction tube on the 123 goes up and above the trans

the 129 is a short little piece to just connect the pump to the trans

Yes it can be changed to the newer style.
You would not be able to use the skid plate when you upgrade it.

I think the idea behind it being routed up, was so that the fan blows air across it. It was for cooling. I'm assuming that cub decided it was unnecessary, and went to the new style.

I can see some of the idea of the line up and over for cooling

my problem is the hydro linkage wore a little hole in to the line

I have it jb welded up (for now but would like to replace the line )
