Default My new 129

Just picked up a 129. Seems to be in pretty good shape too. The only thing I could find was that the gas tank leaks out the bottom, good thing I have a extra tank. One of the po's rigged a QA36 on it. But I don't need a blower so that handy work will come off. I plan on putting the engine in my 128 fel for the time being tell I get done rebuilding that one's.

Looks good! If I were you, I'd be putting the loader on the 129. I have a loader on a gear drive, and it's going on a hydro as soon as I can put one together.

That's a pretty decent looking 129 you got there!

I gotta agree with Matt, I think as soon as I can get a forward/reverse foot control on one of my hydros the loader is comming off of my 122.

Ya, someday I would like to get the loader onto a hydro but I don't see it happening to soon. The 129 is going to get a deck on it to replace my scotts mower. I'm holding out for a 169 to put the loader on and I would love to build a backhoe when and if that ever happens.

Mow with the 169 and use the 129 for the loader....you don't need more than 12 hp to run a loader...the 16 hp would be nice for mowing.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
