Default forward,reverse lever questions

Tractor is a 107 1970

2nd question. My forward and reverse lever on the dash moves kinda easy. So when it's moving the lever moves kinda easy also. SO I need to hold it still while holding it and the steering wheel. I looked underneath the tractor and seen a bit of linkage but not sure what needs replaced and or tightend up. I assume the lever should move to easy.

The tension adjustment for the Hydro Handle is in the Service Manual as found in our Technical Library Section.

The service manual def. will help. There is a nut inside the dash that needs to be tightened to make the hydro lever not flop like it is. Good luck.

An open end wrench, 1 1/16, cut to about 3 inches, will help you tighten the lever tension nut.

I found the pdf i needed.

I looked for the nut, but i dont see it.
Everything from the lever down is tight no play.
It seems to be in this area in the red circle

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
