Mechanical PTO
One of the "fingers" is missing from this PTO. What are those for, will it work with only 2, and where can I find replacements? I'm not sure, but it appears the threads may be stripped out of the one that is missing.

The finger should be available from your local CC dealer. You will also need the correct style screw and two 1/4-28 nuts to properly repair it.

You need 3 of the throwout levers or the PTO will drag. Check the sponsors above or a local IH/Cub Cadet dealer.

Go to http://cubfaq.com, click on questions and check out #s 7, 38 & 76... A service manual is also recommended - it's got good mechanical PTO info in it.

There shouldn't be any threads where you speak of. The long screw goes through the hub and has 2 nuts on the back side.

You must have all three of those blades attached and yes the only way to do it is to remove the pto. The pto is held on with allen screws located around the outside edge. Be sure that the hole is cleaned out and also be aware there should be two allen screws in each hole.

Thanks to everyone who responded. I have taken the clutch off and see how it is assembled. I have been in contact with one of the site sponsors and the parts are being shipped.
It is really nice to get everyone's input and direction instead of jumping into these things uninformed.
