It started in May when I bought an 1864. Since then I've acquired a 2086, another 1864, 3 782s, 2 982s, and today I drug home this 1872. Now here is the bad part, I borrowed a tractor to mow my lawn!
Guess I have lots of projects for this winter. Take a look at the 1872, it needs a coil and hopefully it will run. |

Nice lookin' 1872! Sounds like a nice stable of cubs and supers. I hear ya on the borrowing a mower to mow. I don't have to borrow one, but the zero turn does the mowing. The cubs are for playing. Currently putting a Mag18 into the 782 and replacing the head gasket on the 782D. Too many projects and not enough time..........

Those spooky headlights looking at you are on my 982. Both supers are "barn fresh". Gonna get them cleaned up then get them running.
Thanks all for your support Tim |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
