Default 44 GT deck problems

I have a model 44 GT 318 190 serial 410 028 that has been mowing poorly. The cut is uneven and it clogs quite often. I removed the blades to clean the deck better and the spindles seemed loose. When I took off the deck belt the shafts pulled right out the top. I tried to search for parts diagram and failed.
Can someone supply me with an parts diagram for this spindle. Thanks,eddy622611

Most Cub Cadet Attachments & Implements start with "190".

I took the spindles apart and cleaned the bearings. They look to be in good condition. I'm just going to repack them and replace the seals. Looks like the seals are the same top and bottom. cc p/n 921 3018a Hopefully I can pick them up downtown at NAPA.

After 4 trips to the CC dealer, I have all the parts to put my deck back together. Spindles are rebuilt and back on the the deck. I am ready to install my new blades. I need to know what I should torque them to? Other decks call for 55-60 ft.lbs. I can't find a manual for this though. Thanks,eddy622611

I have never torqued my blades on. I simply tighten them using the "armstrong" method and never had come loose or off.

Thanks, Roland I never have either. On this deck it seems that when you install the blades it preloads the spindle bearings. I was concerned about making the bearings too tight. eddy622611

I use the impact. They don't preload the bearings, there is a spacer between them.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
