Default New Cub (1250)

It has been awhile since I have last posted something on the forum but I have finally found another cub but in better shape than the 102, and 106. I was at a friends house catching up and we went into his backyard and there it was. I couldn't believe my eyes. I ran to her and scanned from tire to tire to see what shape she was in. It looked like it had been stored in a tarp for sometime but looked like it had been sitting in the elements for 5 years or so. So I looked from behind to see if she had a lift, but she didn't. I looked closer and saw that she had spring assist. so now I was happier than ever. I talked to my friend and asked how much his grandfather would like for it and he said that he might was $150 for it so I said I would wait later that night to ask him. Later that night I asked him and he said that he would take $150 for her. Then what he said next made me the luckiest guy on Earth. He told me that he had the deck for it and a snow blower, wheel weights, chains, side panels, and maybe a manual for it. so this week Sunday I plan to head up north to pick up my best find yet.

What a great find! I look forward to seeing it all once you get it home. Hopefully it'll not take too much to get it running. Enjoy!

Forget the truck, I see a red tractor that peaks my interest, and I'm not talking about the one that's almost buried.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
