Well i just have to tell someone, so you all are it. I think i might have hit the deal of a life time. i drive truck and i often see places to stop and see if they have old garden tractors and parts and stuff. normally dont get to stop but i write down locations and such them revist them on the weekends or with phone calls. well yesterday i seen a place where the grounds where covered with old 50's thru 70's farm tractors. It also had a huge shop and showroom building, but looked long gone as a dealership. So on the way home on my run i decide to just stop and see what they had going on, and they had a farmall cub i was interested in. I walk into what was once a huge parts / show room and it was so stuffed with parts the back shelves over flowed to the floor to the front counter to the show room floor and now was piled several feet high every where. so i made my way down a 100 foot long 2 foot wide path to where these two older men where sitting and asked if they had any old cub cadet part, attachments or tractor out in the yard. I was told they didn't know the owner was at lunch. So talking to them a bit i was going to call the owner as they didn't really know what was in the massive piles of stuff. so i turned around to leave and there it was. Jackpot what looked to be a a show room floor demo cub cadet original cover by boxes. upon a small heart attack, a surge of happy i inspect the tractor. original pant (seals and rubber not paint over) very little oil/dirt build up on motor area. Not one of the holes where worn from attachment being on the tractor. was signs that a front attachment was one it and the trailer hitch area had some paint chips. but over all i don't think this tractor ever had a home besides at this dealership of years past. the worker called his boss and told him i was going crazy over this tractor, the owner and the worker talked and i was told if i wanted it he would let it go. After talkign to the worker further he told me he had been there 22 years and that tractor was sitting there when he started and it was sitting there prior to him starting when he would come in for parts. So it is possible that it has sat there for 25 plus years. I am currently waiting for the owner to return my call today. I will keep you all up todate on the going ons with her. I am hoping for the best but till i get the real story from the owner i am not getting my hopes up to high.

I love these kind of stories.
![]() Hope you score. If time permits find out what parts he's got? Maybe he has a treasure trove of hard to find cubby parts? Good luck, NIK,

Whats that old saying, The squeeky wheel get's the oil? Don't give up too easy. Mabe the ol'boy isn't feeling to good or had doctors to go see. If your ready to throw in the towel I know a guy that has an aircraft that can take a buzz out that direction on a Recon Mission. Personally, I'd stay after the guy and if you don't see the end of a shotgun in 6 mos I'd have at least one foot in the door! Theres another saying, Money Talks, B.S. Walks. Be ready for spending or running! Good Luck, Don't give up!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
