Default Fathers day came early!

Well after a very trying beginning to the lawn cutting season I made a decision I never thought I would make!! I went and bought a new 2013 GTX 2100. And so far all I can say is what a great garden tractor!!!! I love it!!! It has power steering, electic lift and I up graded it to the 48" Fab deck. I'll be cutting the grass tomorrow for the first time and I'll let you guys know how it cuts!! Couple pictures of it, first pic. is after I got the weights on it and the second is of my son taking it for it's first spin!

I like it. I did not think Cub Cadet made a good tractor these days, but I read up on them just now and it has some great features. I like the deck.

You need this too.

Thumbs up

Sweet! Nice to see these new Cub Cadets. I'm always at the dealership checking out the latest models. I know Cub Cadet went back to the cast iron transmissions, and not to mention there are other parts on these new machines you can find on the old IH Cub Cadets. I believe Cub Cadet is going to be making a great tractor again, and that the small GT's and Supers will have a minimal come back against the SCUT's.

Congrats!epsichug:

Thanks guys. I researched for hours and hours before making the decision! They have really gone back to alot of the old designs. Cast iron rear end that is fully serviceable, cast iron front axle, all steel C channel frame, and the drive train looks just like the 82 series tractors. Has an absolute killer engine with the kohler command 23 hp. The electronic power steering is amazing! Sitting still on the concrete lot at the dealer and I Could turn the wheel in both directions with one finger just barely touching the steering wheel. It has a 4 year 500 hour warranty that covers everything no matter what, parts and labor! After all my research I decided that dollar for dollar this was the best garden tractor on the market in this price range! Hopefully I still feel the same way after a few cuts are in, and I've got a few hours in the seat! I'll be sure to get a bunch more pictures today!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
