Default PTO won't fit on 1650!
Hello everyone,

It's been a while since I participated but I picked up a 1650 with no PTO(someone stole the PTO, wiring and switch!)

I purchased a PTO from the worlds largest auction site, good condition and all. Went to install and a No-Go!

I measured the inside shaft of the PTO which come out to 1.00".

The shaft off the motor comes out to be 1.125"

Didn't all motors utilize 1 inch shaft or was it larger for the K341 series?

IIRC, all Cub Cadet spec'd engines came with a 1-1/8" PTO shaft.

my 1650 currantly has a pto off of a 1250 on it so im not sure but i think you might have grabbed the wrong pto or it has a replacement engine, i didnt think to measure my shaft when i had the pto off

Thanks for the replies,

I measured the inside of the PTO once again and it measured 1.00"

So I'm wondering where this PTO came from...

the 1000 to 1650 pto end is 1 inch now the mag engines are 1 1/8th off brand engines have both m18 kt17 both are 1 1/8th I have been working on ptos a bunch this year what you need to change the pto over to 1 1/8th is the rotor and the spacer we have both parts

Tomorrow, I'll check the data plate to verify what motor Is in the cub. I've been complacently thinking it was the original K341 all this time.

Find out tomorrow, thanks for the input!
