Default Mule Drive Pulleys

I have a 1711 with a 50" deck, I was looking at the mule drive from the top and the pullys are angled slightly. Not sure if this correct or the pully hangers have twisted over time, also the PO put a spacer on the tension bolt I am assumming to get more life out of the belt. Belt # is 754-3003A and measures right at 89". I was thinking of pulling the drive apart and trying to straighten the pully hangers if they are indeed supposed to be straight.

The pulleys are supposed to be angled like that because the drive pulley on the 50" deck sets off to the side , not straight back.

The spacer is no biggee , the PO probably put it on there to take up the slack when you screw the nut down. That rod sets the tension on the belt.

Make sure your belt is in good shape and correct.

Thats what I thought, with the deck pully being offset. The PO took a bolt and bent a hook in the end for a new tensioner so that is why he had a spacer on it. On the original tensioner what is the total length and length of threads?
Thanks

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
