Default 1650 Surprise

Went to check on some possible parts and came home with a 1650. First quiet line I have ever owned. Older gentleman with a huge area of everything and one cub cadet. Pulled the tarp back and said, "it runs and you can have it all for $220". Couldn't pass it up. Cleaned the carb bowl, fresh gas, fired right up. Runs a little rough, but goes forward, reverse and stops. Also came with deck, carriage, and a blade that I think fits and Original. Definitely not a wide frame set up.

Congrats to your new Toy, i see, you are coming from Louisville. I was in Louisville, in February 1995 for a Week, at the National Farm Machinery Show, and the Tractor Pull, at the Fair Expo Center.
My Hotel was the "Days Inn"

Talking great find

and oh yeah, the front hydraulics and sleeve hitch.........not bad for hiding under a tarp. You'll hate it, they vibrate too much. Lol

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
