Default 44c on a 1863?

The area I mow doesn't warrant the 54 inch deck that came on my 1863 and the area I mow with the 1811 warrants a larger deck, You would think the solution would be obvious (switch tractors) but its complicated and I don't want to type that much I would like to swap decks so I checked tractor data, (sorry methos you'll have to type this time ) but didn't find if the 44c deck will fit the 1863 and the 1863 deck will fit the 1811 will it hook up without any hassles or mods? I don't want to modify any thing I want to keep the cubs original.

Your welcome. I got another 1864 sold that deck and sub frame and going to mow with one of the 1864's and putting the FEL on the other one. So no need for another deck. I do have a restored 38" for the 1650 if I ever get into a bind. But as of now I'm going to leave the 782 with out a deck.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
