Default 882 axle upgrade

Could someone list a few model numbers that would be a good swap to a super steer front axle? My 882 is in need of much tighter steering. Thanks

I'd look for an axle out of a 1440, 1641, 1863 or an 1864. The 1864 had power steering but I think the drag link will bolt up where PS cylinder did.

I used a 1440 axle on the 1210 I used to own. Bolt in swap.

I am pretty sure that the Super front axle is narrower across the top. (looking down at it from above). If I remember correctly they are one quarter inch narrower than a standard Cub axle. So you would have to make up that difference to use one.

Well, as my wife would say, "right as usual", to which I say "its all a matter of perspective".

Now I wonder if the later cubs have a wider axle or if my brain has finally died.

What axle is that one? I dont recognize that tie rod setup with the pivot in the middle.

It is from a Super, being red I'd guess a 982

Yup, it's from a manual steering 982, I kind of like the design on them because it puts little stress on the pivot pin in the axle when steering unlike spindle mounted drag link setups.
