Default The Addiction Grows

Looking around on Craigslist, I found 2 more toys. The guy had a 126 advertised in the ad for $200, it needs the engine rebuilt (he already has the engine removed). It needs clutch work & PTO clutch work. It comes with a 42 inch deck. When I got there to look at it, he also had a 149 in pretty good shape. I looked at the 126 & had already made up my mind to get it & turned to look at the 149 when he asked if I liked the hydro's. I told him I sure did & he said that it was for sale too. I think my heart skipped a beat or two right then. The 149 comes with a 60 inch deck, not sure if its a Haban or not. It has a brand new 12 HP Kohler in it but he has the 14 HP Kohler that came in it & I get em both. I landed both Cubs for $600 & the funny thing is they were about 2 1/2 miles from my house & the guy knows my father-in- law which will come in handy trying to explain this to my wife!!!!

Thank the Good LORD you don't have to compete with CUBCRAZY! I think Oklahoma is a bit out of his range. I'll TRY to keep him on his toe's up here in Pennsylvania.

Sweet deal. One thing, a 60" Haban will not fit a 149. You need a Super for that Big Boy.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
