Cool Yes another 70

I attended an auction on Saturday and saw this 70 with a 38" deck, well I new it was there...but there were others, but this is the one I wanted.

It was telling me to bid, bid, bid, now it's mine,mine,mine...good prices on lots of stuff.

Stuck a rebuilt carb, new plug and points and it runs very well, the front pto bearing is noisy so I'll get that fixed..
Right now there is a remote tank on it, I will have to clean out the old one and put it back on.

Also got these goodies...
set of guide cub lights. Duke are these the same as yours?
new kohler s/g pulley with rebuilt pto.
box of other lights.
A new blade for a 48" deck.

Lew you did good! I see you got the guide bulbs as well. Lets not forget it was you my friend that taught me what the difference was. I just took the pics and made the post. You deserve the credit my friend.

I don't know. Looks like it may clean up pretty nicely. Nice parts!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
