I also have an addiction to little red tractors, these are some that I restored over the summer. These are not reproductions, these are the original models that came out when the real tractors were in the dealers lots. I had a few of these growing up but not many survived so Ive been buying some lately.

These are a few more that I havn't made a decision on to restore or not. The 856 I probably will, the rest I think I will keep the "played with" patina.

These are a few that have special meaning the 1586 is one of the few that survived my early farming days, and the custom work was done probably 20 yrs ago. The pink 706 I did was used as a bribe to potty train my daughter, it also has a matching wagon. These things bring back a lot of good sand box and carpet farming memories for me and now they display nicely in our home. Put some of your farm toy pics up I would love to see them.

I could tell that they are not reproductions as they have red wheels and not the silver ones the new ones do. When I was younger I painted my rear wheels the silver they should have been.
Your toys look great.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
