Default ISO mounts

I'm going to swap out the engine in my 1650. Who sells the ISO mounts for a fair price? Local Cub dealer Carter and Greenwald wants around $90.00

You'll notice a common theme here. Unfortunately, you have to ante up and buy the CC mounts. Anything aftermarket just isn't the same and you'll be disappointed if you go that route.

One of the sponsers has them for $19 per set. Cheapest I found. Messick's has them for $20 per set. Messick's is fast shipping, but shipping is $10 I think.

I purchased 4 pr off Evilbay for 1450 #2, but only due to shortage of funds.

Default Support your local Cub Dealer

I am a multi brand tractor enthusiast and one of the reasons I bought a Cub Cadet 1450 is that there is a dealer in my small town. The fact that there is a dealer is not the neat thing but, that my dealer has never let me down when I am looking for parts is. Whenever I find that I need some common wear replacement part, this dude has them in stock. For that alone when I replaced my isomounts the dealer got my business. It comes in kit form with instructions, you cant go wrong.

I will have to agree with everyone here and say spend the extra for the factory mounts. Also I installed mine per the included instructions, and it would rattle your teeth out at anything other than idle. I then followed the advice I found on this site and loosened them to the point one thread was showing past the top of the nut, and now my 1450 is almost as smooth as my 1000 was. Just figured I would share my experience, as I dealt with the vibration for over a year, and got sick of it sounding like it was going to rattle to pieces.

Default ISO Mounts

No one has yet mentioned that if you haven't done the rail mod I would strongly advise doing it. Also, if the engine compartment is oily I'd try and remedy this as well. Oil is an enemy of the rubber mounts.

Just an added thought.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
