Default Loaders

I was just wondering what loaders would fit on a model 70 cub cadet?

Any loader could be made to fit with a new sub frame. Matt G's site has the best loader sub frame info on it.

I have a non dis-script loader on my 72, which also fits any narrow frame cub I happen to have.

It a homemade loader, built it my self from spare parts and some new parts.

Works realy good for digging.

But sometimes it needs a little extra weight for traction getting back out of the hole you dug.
Notice the doubble heads in the previous photo.

Found out the load capasity of the trailer the hard way, on the second full load we bent the axle.

And when you over use the loader things do break.

But a quick trip back to the shed to where the welder is kept and a couple welding rods and all is good once again.

Default Loader

Having built one of CADplans loaders I am trying to find the forward support that usually runs up to the front of the tractor for counter force of the front weight. I do not see any such device and was wondering if the only attaching point is under your feet? You certainly have a unique design and I'm sure you enjoy using it as much as I did mine!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
