Default Towing/pushing cub 1450 with hydro drive

I actually have searched the forum and can't find an answer so here I am. I need to move the tractor to a more convenient place to work on it. The operator manual states that "some tractors are equiped with a release lever on the right side of the frame near the cam stop". Well apparently this tractor doesn't have that lever. So, how can I move it without doing damage? Is there a way? I can't imagine why IH would make a tractor that couldn't be move except under power. I am sure someone in this group has the answer. Thanks.

Yours will then have automatic relief valves. You can push or tow at a safe walking speed. You will be fine.

Yours must have the automatic valves if you had the manual valves you would have to use the hydro release lever on the right hand side of the the tunnel cover near the fender.

We will be out of town for a few days so I won't be moving the tractor until next week. Again thanks for the input. David

Don't pull it fast or to far and you'll be ok.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
