Default A day with the grandaughter

We had us a SUPER Sat. Nancy and I had the grandaughter Berkley or as we call her, Bean for the weekend. We started out the day getting Nancy's turkey gun patterned for the big turkey hunt in two weeks. Then onto my crossbow, so I can wack me a thunder-chicken! Turkeys don't have a chance!
We then went out in the woods and planted 100 Norway Spruce, grandma had the Bean putting the trees in the holes. I was using my 1420 to cut the brush and weeds before the trees were planted, this gives the seedlings a better chance the first year. We try to plant some seedlings every year.
So then when the work was done it was play time. Nancy and the Bean took a ride on the Rhino, then it was my turn, we made tracks with Grizzly. I had my own personal driver. She did pretty good steering and using the throttle alone, but had to help her every so often.
A great day outdoors, today rain and some nasty weather moving in this afternoon, high winds and hail, don't need that.
Here's some pics

Todd,
Just found this. Great shots of you, Nancy and Berkely. We have a Bean in the family too, our Grandson Mike got the nick name early due to the size of his noggin.
Good talking with you tonight! I have to get some pictures up too.
Regards,
Chris

Oh my gosh, what fun!

We often have our Granddaughter (Faith) she's 6, for the weekend, she seems to have a great time helping with whatever project is going on at the time. After a little work, a ride on a Cub or the 4 wheeler is usually in order.

Betsy told me that, while Christmas shopping this past year, Faith said "We need to get Grandpa a lot of really good stuff, because he works so hard for us, and we need to show him how much we appreciate him". Hearing that, put a lump in my throat. It really is all about making good memories for her... and us!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
