Default It is ALIVE!!!!

So, after much fun with the 149 I picked up a couple months ago, mouse nest in the flywheel, stripped spark plug threads. I picked up a used head, a new condenser and points and a make shift gas tank for the moment. I got some time this morning to spend some time in the garage. After who knows how much time in a field that Kohler still runs well! The hyrdo-trans works, but it looks like somehow the hydro filter got bashed in and no longer seals to the pump, but it looks like a new filter and some Hy-tran and I will be cooking with gas!!!!!

One question...are the fittings that connect the hydro lift lines to the hydro pump "standard" fittings that I can find at a place like Fleet Farm? The lift was removed from the tractor and these are the parts that I know I am missing to hook up the "new" lift I have.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
