Default Got my 129

I thought I would start another thread on this but I said that I was getting a 129 well I just got it today. I have not really dug to far into it yet but as far as I can tell it needs cleaned it has sat in a barn for 2 years so its dirty, the mouse nest needs removed, the carb needs cleaned or rebuilt but I gonna rebuild it while I have it off, needs a tunnel cover, the lift handle button is stuck, and just general maintenance from sitting for so long. I will try to post pictures as I go but I do have one when I got it home and set aside. I do have the carb off now and working on that. The gas tank was clean but I will clean it again.....and of course there was gas left in the carb
Now I am not real familiyer with cub options but the tractor has headlights and a cigarette lighter is that a rare option? I was more excited about the headlights than anything cause I my self dont see vary many wide frames with headlights. If you guys have any other information you can give me that would be great.

Looks good! I'd love a 129 or a 149. My quarter acre requires a lot of backing up and such with a garden tractor to get the grass mowed.

I have a spare WF tunnel cover. PM me.

That's a good looking 129. Yes the lights and cigarette lighter were options with the cigarette lighter being quite hard to find. You will enjoy that 129.

thanks guys, this is actually my second 129 the first one I had needed alot of work and I used it for about a year then sold it but I cant wait to get this one up and running so I can use it. This makes number 3 of my cubs this one and my 1862 will be the work tractors(I have another yellow and white one but this one says sears on it instead of cub) the other cub is a puller. The fenders are going to need straightened it had a cab on it at one time and they are all bent and were the holes are they are pulled up but I have seen and fixed worse so that wont be a problem. the hood is decent with some rust but alot of dirt.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
