Torque temps
I have all the gaskets and seals needed to start to put back together the motor on my 1450. Does the temp of the parts matter when they are torqued. I will be doing this in a garage that don't hold heat well, temps in there are around 40 deg. I can take it into a heated basement if needed. I see no reference in the torque specs area of the manual for temps.

 It would be an educated guess, that torque spec's are based at a 70° ambient environment. I think there are slight variations to torque as a result from a deviation of the 70° base line. But, most torque specifications, give a person a window or range to be within, or usually +/- 10% of a exact stated value. IMHO, I think you will be OK if you just torque your motor to Kohler Spec as stated, in your garage.

well i talk to my motor man because i going to be doing the same as you and my shop it that warm either and he said that as long as all parts are same temp it won't matter. if you need a manual you can down load kolher manual from kolhers web site.
