1200 not charging?
Finally got my clutch in my 1200, now I notice while mowing the it only charges breifly and spends more time not charging. I checked all the electrical connections and even unplugged and replugged, still the same. The battery is old, so will try a newer one, but doubt it is shorted or anything as it holds a charge for a week before dieing.

Take a VOM (or DVM) meter and measure the resistance between the V/R Case and the battery negative terminal. You should have zero ohms resistance.
If the above is OK, then click on this link and check..... Charge Test.
