Default question about 1450 ignition switch

can anyone tell me what the terminal letters would be for an ignition switch for a 1450? I need to get a new switch, and my dad in TX has some switches, I just need to get him the letters. Thanks in advance.

Well, that's out of date. Current count is 2 LT1050's, a 76, 1 2284, 1 2130, 1 2135, 1020, and 10 1250- 1650's, with decks, blades, snow throwers, and a Brinly plow

FYI ... I found that 1450's have different switches year to year ... different number of prongs ....

Thanks steveyrock, I knew I saw that somewhere, just couldn't remember where. scgtguy, there may be 5 prongs, but there are only 4 wires coming out of the harness.

There was only one Ignition Switch that IH used on all the Quietline models, that being: IH-61524-C3..

The correct wiring diagram for the Q/L is located here..... Wiring Diagram

The part can be obtained from your local Cub Cadet, Case-IH dealers, or the Sponsors in the boxes above, will gladly help you out.

Don't forget to check placement of the terminals. Letters may be right but in the wrong place for the wiring harness plug.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
