Default Some of you got it made.

Just had to run at the mouth a little. Some of you got it made, when it comes to folks interested in the Cub hobbie. Reading that some of you visit one and other now and again and do the cub thing. Not around here we don't, there is no one around here with interest at all.
Far as I know there isn't anyone for who knows how far with the cub fever, other than me. My local dealer and I talk everytime I go there, and he said before me there hasn't been anyone in his shop even looking for parts for these vintage tractors.
It's pretty sad that all the "cool people" are so far away from here, because it would be nice to be able to sit around with others talking Cub Cadets.
Theres a bunch of guys with old farm tractors that get together and have a plow day in the spring and fall, but nothing to do with garden/lawn tractors of any sort.
I thought about trying to get something going related to garden/lawn tractors, even put out feelers to see if there would be any interest, none!
Good thing for OCC, at least I can get my fix through my computer, somewhat. I'm done ranting on and on. Take care

Well there is one advantage to that. You have nobody to grab all the goodies before you, nor anyone to bid higher at an auction selling a Cub. I would look at it that way. Might as well have a garden tractor show at your place, you would get peoples choice and the Best of Show trophy.

There will be a IH collectors chapter in your area and some of them will have cubs also. If nothing else, find a tractor club that has a plow day, I bet they would let you turn a little dirt with the big boys.

Good poin that you made!!! There are cubs to our north. Just find a Green & Yellow guy and convert him !! That's what I have done to my neighbor whose only condition he placed on his wife from moving to the midwest from AZ is that he could have a JD......now he's looking to buy a cub!!!! Of course it might have been having some of my friends get on 4 or 5 my cubs and circling him while he is trying to mow his yard on his JD--kine of like circling the wagons in the wild west!!! !!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
