Default 1450 Hydro question

I have a 1450 that has the lever to release the hydro valves so it can be moved. Up until a few weeks ago that was what I did to move it around the garage. Now it will move freely without using the lever. It still runs like it always did, what may be going on?

Hmmm.....Interesting!

The only thing that I can think of is, that the plunger button from one of the valves is falling down on its own when the motor is not running, and when the motor starts, it pops up. IF that were the case, I would think that an internal spring to the Check Valve has become broken and the Valve needs to be replaced.

Are you sure you don't have the auto release valves in there and just didn't know it? They are, and have been the only replacement for either style valve for some time now. It is kinda strange that it doesn't affect operation if the release buttons are depressed all the time??

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
