Default Hydro Fluid
What color is this Hy-Tran fluid supposed to be in my 149? I just checked the fluid and it was red like car transmission fluid. Never messed with these tractors before. Don't know nothing about Hy-Tran fluid. Just wondering if that's the reason for my hydro trans problem. Thanks for any replies.

If I recall correctly Hytran is a clear-yellowish color. Somebody may have filled that bad boy up with ATF?

yeah it is a clear- yellowish it is a little water. my uncle who owns a 1,000 acre farm use balk HY-Trans. Thats were all of my kids are(my cub cadet).I'm to young to have kids. I'm only 13 years old.

I called 3 IH dealers this afternoon. They told me it was reddish colored. Guess I'll have to go look for myself. Thanks for the replies.

I get the hytran in the 2-1/2 gallon jugs.
Its a redish color.
